In the early 1920's Frank Lloyd Wright lived for a short while in Southern California. During this time he created a system of home construction using what he called "Textile Blocks". These blocks were cast concrete construction blocks with a patterned exterior surface. Some had perforations to allow light to pass through. Its said the designs were inspired by Mayan temple architecture. The Ennis house was the largest of the textile houses and was built in 1924. It still stands in the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation authorized the reproduction of five patterns from these structures into tabletop, cast stone lanterns. They are shipped with a candle and can be placed indoors or outside.

Height: 5 inches. Width: 5.75 X 5.75 inches.
