Siting Jizo Buddha Statue

This Jizo Buddha in meditation is made of cast stone, an attractive and long lasting alternative to natural carved stone at a fraction of the cost. Tolerant to temperature changes in the garden, he will also age and patina much like natural stone.

A sacred and revered Buddha (Bodhisattva) in Japan, where "ji" means earth and "zo" womb: "womb of the earth". Calm even when facing the greatest adversity, the Jizo is also considered as the guardian savior of children, tormented souls, travelers and firefighters.
